The Art of Efficient and Compassionate Care

The design team at MOA ARCHITECTURE worked closely with hospital staff to understand daily operations, patient interactions, and care delivery needs. Through detailed user experience mapping, the team identified ways to improve visibility, workflow, and the overall atmosphere. Special attention was paid to triage and security operations, ensuring that staff could monitor and respond to incoming patients more efficiently and with greater comfort and privacy. These insights drove a reconfiguration of space that prioritized efficiency, visibility, and emotional well-being.

Transforming Care Through Thoughtful Design

The updated Emergency Department layout provides faster access to care, greater privacy for patients, and a more intuitive experience for hospital staff. The triage nurse now has direct sightlines to both the ED entry and waiting areas, improving intake speed and patient safety. Security operations were also enhanced, giving staff clearer views of both the ED and the adjacent main hospital lobby. Two new private behavioral health safe rooms were added to support patients in crisis, along with upgraded amenities such as full-height lockers for valuables. Carefully selected finishes and custom artwork were incorporated to create a calming, welcoming environment that supports healing for patients and peace of mind for their families.
