Silverthorne Urgent Care Clinic

Silverthorne, Colorado
From Call Center to Community Care Hub

Located in Silverthorne, Colorado, this urgent care clinic supports High Country Healthcare—part of the Centura Health Physician Group and affiliated with St. Anthony Summit Medical Center—in expanding access to local, high-quality medical services. MOA ARCHITECTURE transformed a former Centura Health call center into a flexible clinical suite that could evolve with changing community needs. Initially opened as a family practice clinic, the space later transitioned seamlessly into an urgent care clinic, thanks to a design strategy centered around adaptability and efficient patient flow.

Thoughtful Planning for Changing Care Models

The driving force behind the project was the St. Anthony Summit Medical Center’s commitment to increasing healthcare availability for Summit County residents. Recognizing the dynamic nature of rural and mountain-town healthcare delivery, MOA designed the clinic to shift functions without the need for additional major renovations. During its first year, the facility supported two family practice providers and their care teams. Anticipating future change, the design incorporated extra workspaces and multiuse zones that could later be repurposed into storage, touchdown areas, or support spaces for a leaner urgent care staffing model. Addressing site-specific challenges, including a grade change between the new and existing suites, further reinforced the importance of thoughtful planning.

A Smarter Investment in Community Health

The remodeled clinic now serves the community as a fully functional urgent care center, providing timely, local access to care that previously required travel outside the area. The built-in flexibility allowed the space to evolve with zero downtime between operational shifts, maximizing both investment and patient benefit. The addition of an ADA-compliant interior ramp ensures safe and intuitive movement through the clinic, improving accessibility for all who enter. Today, the facility stands as a responsive, efficient healthcare resource—one that reflects both the unique needs of the High Country region and Centura Health’s mission to bring care closer to home.
