Platte Valley Health Center

Saratoga, Wyoming
A New Chapter in Saratoga Healthcare

The Saratoga Family Practice Clinic extends the reach of the Memorial Hospital of Carbon County (MHCC) into the town of Saratoga, WY, providing local residents with accessible primary care, specialty services, and physical therapy for the first time. Previously, patients traveled over 40 minutes for basic healthcare. This 5,900-SF clinic delivers essential services—including six exam rooms, an imaging suite, laboratory, and minor outpatient procedure space—through a compact, efficient design that mirrors the successful layout of MHCC’s Rawlins Family Practice Clinic.

Bringing Care Closer to Home

The project was inspired by the need to bring quality healthcare closer to the community while providing a cost-effective alternative to distant hospital care. From site selection to building delivery, MOA worked closely with MHCC to maximize efficiency, value, and functionality. A fast-tracked CM/GC approach enabled seamless coordination between the design team, general contractor, and subconsultants, ensuring timely permitting, selection of best-value structural and M/E/P systems, and the timely procurement of critical materials and equipment. The design emphasizes a functional, patient-centered layout, creating a welcoming environment despite the clinic’s compact footprint.

Making Local Healthcare a Reality

By establishing a local clinic in Saratoga, MHCC dramatically improves healthcare access for the surrounding community, reducing travel time and increasing convenience for patients. The efficient design supports a high standard of care while maintaining operational effectiveness, allowing the healthcare system to deliver quality services locally and cost-effectively. This clinic represents a critical step in MHCC’s mission to provide accessible, community-focused care across Carbon County.
